Drowning of 63-year-old Ala. man called accidental

TUSCUMBIA, Ala. (AP) — Authorities in Colbert County say the drowning of a 63-year-old man near his home was accidental.
Press reports say the man's body was found on Wednesday in Donnegan Slough in the northeast part of the county. Colbert County Coroner Carlton Utley identified the man as Jimmy Free.
Utley pronounced Free dead at the scene just after 1 p.m. and says his office has no plans to request an autopsy.
He says Free's body likely had been in the water for 30 to 36 hours.
Alabama Marine Police officer Josh Bradford says it appears the victim likely fell into the water from his boat.
