After a search, police discovered a 10-year-old girl with multiple stab wounds. She was transported to Medical Center Enterprise and later airlifted to Children’s Hospital in Birmingham.
Peterson said upon arrival at Children’s, the girl was taken to the trauma unit for surgery. As of mid-afternoon Wednesday, she was listed in critical condition and still undergoing surgery.
