Dothan man arrested on two felony charges

Michael Troy Adams Senior, black male, 54 years of age, of East Adams Street was arrested and charged with Second Degree Theft of Property by Deception and First Degree Theft of Property with a bonds totaling $7,500.

On September 27, 2011 the Dothan Police Department Investigative Division made a felony arrest following a recent investigation. Police say Michael Adams Senior was arrested on two separate charges in similar cases. In the first count, Adams was charged with theft by deception after taking money on two occasions from the victim to repair a vehicle. Over the course of several months, the vehicle was never repaired and moved to an impound lot. In the second count, Adams was charged with theft after again taking a vehicle with the promise of repair work. Over the course of several months, the vehicle was never repaired and when the victim demanded to know where the vehicle had been taken, the suspect stated the car had been stolen. The second vehicle in this case has not yet been recovered. Police are asking anyone with information about the case or location of the vehicle, a 1992 Toyota Corolla to call the Dothan Police Department or CrimeStoppers 334-793-7000.
